We recently stayed at Disco, and to say we had an exceptional experience would be an understatement. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and kind. The breakfast each morning and the nightly appetizers were outstanding, and every detail contributed to a truly memorable stay. The location is spectacular as well—perched atop a hill in a beautiful neighborhood with stunning surroundings. This is genuinely one of the BEST hotels I have ever stayed at. We chose Disco for our wedding weekend, and it exceeded every expectation. The team went above and beyond to make the occasion feel extra special, and we couldn't have imagined a better place to celebrate. If I could give more than five stars, I absolutely would!
Hotel Drisco, Waymo, and my best trip to SF The hotel is sublime. Beautifully decorated with Old School furnishing and interiors, beautiful neighborhood, quiet , an XL robe and slippers that fit (rarity), a compli. car service for mornings , SF only, (and a very reasonable add on for airport) , lovely breakfast with everything i could want. Perfectly prepared medium cooked omelette (hard to come by, Great Here). .. And top quality is all around. Only 4.5 M miles on my FF score but this is one of My Favorites. Waymo, driverless ride share. Touring the city with my Resident Son the last few days. The Waymo’s drive better than anyone in my family including me (i am not the top ranked either) . Only problems: check your Nespresso upon arrival to be sure quantities are there. There is a beautiful sitting rooom on the first floor with coffee etc 24x7, but i like to wake up before i make my appearances, thus Nespresso required.
We stayed for one night before a flight, a great luxe experience before departing. Great bathroom amenities and the complimentary cocktail hour is a hit. Great continental breakfast - much more than what you think when you hear continental. We left a charger in the room and they offered to ship back to us. 10/10
Our Back to the Bay Area crawl was equal parts reunion, nostalgia, and indulgence: visiting dear friends and family, slipping back into familiar rhythms, and revisiting the places and landscapes that once felt like second nature. We began in Pacific Heights, and Hotel Drisco was exactly the right opening note: elegant, quiet, and deeply self-assured. What I have always appreciated about the Drisco is that it does not confuse luxury with excess. The property feels intimate and cultivated, with that understated San Francisco polish that suggests good bones, impeccable upkeep, and a staff that knows how to anticipate rather than hover. In a neighborhood of grand homes, leafy streets, and a certain old-money composure, the hotel feels perfectly situated—almost as though you are staying in a particularly well-run private residence rather than a conventional hotel. Its complimentary breakfast and nightly wine reception are among the touches it is especially known for, and they truly elevate the stay rather than feeling like throw-ins. The hotel highlights its gourmet continental breakfast and evening wine reception, while outside reviewers specifically note the California wine, artisanal cheese and charcuterie, hot hors d’oeuvres, and breakfast scones with lemon curd and clotted cream. Because we were only there one night, the Drisco felt less like a stopover and more like a soft landing. I can easily imagine us lingering over the breakfast buffet with fruit, pastries, and one last cup of coffee before heading south, or enjoying the evening reception with a glass of California wine after walking the neighborhood and admiring the architecture. Pacific Heights has always invited that kind of mood—civilized, scenic, and slightly removed from the city’s noisier edges—and the Drisco understands that rhythm beautifully. It is the kind of place that makes a brief stay feel complete.
From the moment we arrived the stay was delightful!!! Beginning with the Evening Reception. We were enjoying lingering there, we cancelled our dinner reservations. The room service menu has a great variety on it and the food was delicious. The room, the bed and all the linens made you want to stay all day! We enjoyed a quick breakfast that left us wanting more time to linger over a second cappuccino. Can't say enough! We plan to return just for a few days at Hotel Drisco.
