Don't come if you like to sleep. 16 beds in a room of 40m2? And most of those beds double beds. We shared the room with about 20 people, it was constantly noisy, the door didn't shut/ open properly which was a big noise source. No mosquito nets. Lockers were out of order. 3 toilets and shower combinations of which only one room worked! For 20 people! The commun area was under construction, so not useful, the balcony's furniture you better don't want to touch, the WiFi was not working either. No kitchen area. Very overpriced for the service. They made 200$ that night on that one room, without ANY added value. No working facilities at all. The location is good, but there are so many places in the heart of town who actually offer a little more than a bed in a noisy place.

The location is fantastic but that's the only good thing I can say about this place. My wife and I stayed in a private room. The ceilings were only six feet high, so I could not stand up straight and the bed was tiny so I had to bend my legs to fit in. The place was always loud, even though there were very few guests. The lady at the front desk was friendly but not helpful at all. She recommended a local restaurant where the food was bland and we were gouged for at least double what locals would pay. She put us in contact with a tour company that didn't provide all the necessary equipment for our dolphin tour and used a driver who didn't stay with us for the agreed upon time. When we were leaving, she hailed a tuktuk to take us to the ferry terminal but the driver quoted an incredibly inflated price, so we just walked. If you can afford to, it's worth paying a little more to stay elsewhere.

The staff is unbelievably friendly and kind. The room’s AC is perfect and the concept, of the bunkbeds “in the wall” is super, the curtain gives plenty of privacy and the shower is big and clean. The bed in the dormitory is quite expensive, because of the tax, but the hostel is directly in the centre of stone town, 2mins from beach and 2mins from town. The owner is super nice and showed a lot of kindness. For backpackers, totally appropriate and with a sofa in the hall to meet other people.

Best hostel I’ve stayed at in East Africa! This is an extremely clean, well kept, modern and lively hostel with great facilities and a perfect location. There are really nice private (but shared) bathrooms and showers, with strong water pressure and hot water. The common areas are super nice and the entire place has great wifi and international wall plugs for foreign travellers. The rooms are also equipped with great air conditioning which is a must in this area. Hostel provided nice linens and towels too! As a solo female backpacker, I always try to find the best and safest female dorms, and these ones were amazing! The staff was also super friendly and accommodating when it came to organizing little trips via their affiliated tour company, and getting me rather cheap airport transport. Would highly recommend this hostel to all and maybe even come again in the future!

A wonderful location at the heart of Stone Town. A lot of good restaurants, places to visit and boats to take to the different islands are a walking distance. It's also very good for budget traveler (keep in mind that when I was there in October of 2021, they had a discount and it was 15$ per night.) Peli, the receptionist was a wonderful host. She was very welcoming and helpful. The rooms are clean. I love how they have plugs available for each bed. I stayed in the female only dorm and I was lucky to be the only one staying for two out of the three nights I spent there. I can imagine it being very crowded since the dorm could accommodate up to 14 people. The bathrooms are clean in the morning and could use frequent cleaning since its a shared space.
